Clean water is the cornerstone of good health and well-being. In Uganda, many communities struggle with waterborne diseases and parasites due to contaminated water sources. By supporting clean water initiatives, you can:
• Prevent waterborne illnesses.
• Save lives, particularly those of children.
• Empower communities with improved health and hygiene.
• Promote education by reducing the time spent collecting water.
• Alleviate the burden on women and children who often bear the responsibility of fetching water over long distances.
We are actively involved in implementing clean water projects in Uganda. These projects include:
Well Refurbishment
Repairing and servicing broken wells in communities and remote villages to provide access to clean, safe water.
New Wells
Sourcing and drilling new wells in remote villages to provide access to clean, safe water.
Water Management
Educating community members on the care and maintenance of the wells to ensure longevity.
A single well in Uganda can positively impact up to 1,000 people in a local community. Thanks to the unwavering support of our dedicated donors, we’ve already transformed the lives of over 227,303 individuals, successfully completing 224 wells.
Refurbishing a Well
The cost of refurbishing a well averages $3,500, based on the extent of the damage and new equipment required.
New Wells
Drilling a new well, accounting for factors like location, depth, and soil, is $6,500.
