Hurricane Melissa Disaster Relief
Help Families Rebuild Their Roofs. Restore Safe Homes. Restart Livelihoods.
When Hurricane Melissa tore through communities, it left thousands of families with damaged roofs, unsafe living conditions, and homes exposed to wind, rain, and mold. For many, the storm didn’t end when the skies cleared. The damage continues to remain.
In February, Crossroads Cares traveled to some of the communities hardest hit by the hurricane. We met incredible families whose homes were devastated and still sit covered in tarps months later. We spoke with farmers in urgent need of seeds to replant their fields, and with fishermen who need wire to repair their pots and return to work.
The need is real — and we knew we had to act.
Your donation today helps families rebuild and restore the place they call home.
Why Roofs Matter
A roof is more than shingles and nails — it’s protection, stability, and peace of mind.
Without a secure roof:
• Rain continues to damage walls, ceilings, and foundations
• Mold and mildew threaten families’ health
• Utility costs rise due to poor insulation
• Children and seniors remain vulnerable to extreme weather
Rebuilding roofs and restoring livelihoods is a critical step toward full recovery.
Your Impact Starts Today
• $50 helps purchase building materials
• $150 helps purchase seeds and wire
• $500 helps fund structural reinforcements
• $1,000+ helps complete a full roof replacement
No contribution is too small. Every donation brings a family one step closer to safety.
Together, we can restore shelter, rebuild stability, and renew hope.
Donate today and help raise the roof – and the spirits – of families rebuilding after Hurricane Melissa.
