On August 10, 2026, a powerful earthquake struck western Colombia, leaving families facing significant loss, uncertainty and a long road toward recovery.
Crossroads has a history of standing with the people of Colombia, beginning with our response to the 1999 Armenia earthquake and later supporting persecuted Christians as they relocated and built new lives in safety.
Today, we are once again coming alongside the people of Colombia. Through our local partners, Crossroads is responding to the urgent needs created by the earthquake, providing emergency food, essential supplies and practical support to families as they begin to recover. We are also extending care to vulnerable families and ministries serving communities impacted by the disaster.
One of those ministries is El Nido, which serves teen mothers and their babies. In the aftermath of the earthquake, these young families are facing damaged homes, lost family income, nightmares and trauma.
