WILL YOU HELP THE MOST VULNERABLE REBUILD THEIR LIVES?

Thanks to the compassionate response from Crossroads partners last year, persecuted families in Colombia were able to relocate themselves into a new community. To help these families continue to grow and become self-sustaining, Crossroads set a goal to raise $95,000 for the next phase. The plans are as follow:

  • Build a community centre for school programs (70 children), church services, and community gatherings.
  • Build two more greenhouses.
  • Build a Waste System for the homes.
  • Provide more tools and purchase farm animals (cows and chickens).
  • An additional water filtration system

“Sometimes, when you are passing through a really bad circumstance, you cannot see the whole picture of what the Lord is doing. I think that God is really working in our hearts, and when we help people, we just bring hope to them.”

Courage in Colombia Update

Steel roofs and clay walls have replaced tarps providing security and shelter from the elements.

Agricultural tools and seeds have established gardens supplying food and potential income to families.

A water treatment system is now distributing clean drinking water, reducing water-borne illnesses.

Crossroads Cares responds to the humanitarian crisis with both short-term emergency response and long-term development projects. We are committed to giving tangible hope and support to others through food and water, rescue and care, and health and education. We strive to make aggressive long-term investments into areas that affect the most vulnerable people groups, enabling them to escape the most extreme of circumstances, and equipping them to provide for their own needs longer-term.
